Laundry

There it is...a picture of what my house looks like on most Mondays.
That is the day I have set aside to get as much laundry done as humanly possible.
I average about 12 loads a week...in a HUGE washing machine.
If I keep going from 7 am, until 11pm, I can get it all done in one day.
I have to admit though, most weeks I just do laundry both Monday and Tuesday, and breathe something besides dryer lint between loads.
This week, I'm still doing laundry today...but enjoying other things as well.
And, for the first time in 6 weeks (which have been truly wracked with insanity), I WANT to clean my house and get things in order.
Things have finally settled...whew!

Holy Yikes. Not at your piles - though they are most impressive - but the doing all the laundry in one day... I'd have to cry and eat candy bars between loads.

Laundry is the worst. And I only have 3 kids. Pick out a great movie and laugh (or cry if you prefer) your way through the piles!

I am glad to know that I am not alone in this battle! Laundry is the bain of my existence! I have many piles that are yelling my name and I am ignoring them!

I think your piles look awesome. If only you could see MY pile...it's awful! :P I hate laundry...do you think we could start a club?

I think you'd be more correct if you said "temporarily" settled. I don't think there is anything final about calm in our home.

I am worn out just looking at it all!

Wednesdays have become my folding day. See that is when Lost is on so I fold while I watch. My big kids all fold their own clothes, so that eliminates some of the headache.

Wow! You are brave to do it all in one day. I usually do it Tuesdays/Thursdays or MWF. Great pic.

Ode to Laundry

Stinky, Musty, Smelly, Stained, and Soiled.
Agitate, Soak, Agitate, Rinse, Rinse, Spin.
D r y .
Buzz!
Ahhhhhhhhhh!

(this is not an ode to folding or putting away.) If there is such a thing, I leave it to someone else.

Ohhhhh, I so hate laundry, but when I think of 'the olden day' task, I buck up and put another load in the machine!
Someday, some woman will invent a machine to fold and put it all away...
Until then...

Impressive piles!
