This was always the hardest day of the Christmas season for me as a child and teenager.
Christmas is so close, but there is a whole, uneventful day to get through before it is officially Christmas Eve.
Pure torture, I tell you.
I wonder if it is as hard for my kids as it was for me.

Christmas should never, EVER fall on a Monday. My mind knows it's not the Sabbath, I can go shopping! I can hang out with friends!!
Except, it's Christmas day. Dang it. And since Christmas Eve day falls on Sunday, I can't do anything SUPER last minute, either.
Now that is torture!
